Chandigarh, May 12, 2012 : 16 children of Theatre Age Group are being harassed by the management of Gurukul Vidyapeeth by not releasing their leaving certificate since April 2012. The Eleventh Class students of Non Medical and five students from Medical stream are making best of their efforts for its certificate but they are not successful” This was stated by Mr. Zulfiqar Khan, President Theatre Age based at Chandigarh.
These students were enrolled in college last year. But now students are not favour of studying in that school due to some reasons. The students are alleging that the study in the school is not up to the mark. The faculty in the school is not able to dispense the quality education. The insufficient labs in the school are hampering the practical knowledge of the students. It has been observed that classes are being conducted in the hostel. Lastly these underprivileged students are covering a massive distance from Sector 24 to Banur which consume their whole day. The students are now demanding their school leaving certificate.
Giving more details about the efforts to obtain these certificates, Mr. Zulfikaar Khan accused Gurukul Vidyapeeth management for manhandling the Theatre Age Group part time faculty Mr. Vijay Arora (a retired engineer). Mr. Arora went to Gurukul Vidyapeeth, Banur yesterday to talk with Mr. Manmohan Garg, Director of the institute but he was manhandled by their staff till 6 o clock. Staff misbehaved with Arora alongwith the two students.
Mr. Zulfiqar requested through media to release the certificates of students for securing their future.
